Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your best deal:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Oceanview Room Serenity: 1st Floor Escape for Four has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
