Getting the best vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To book the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking a perfectrental:
- Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Large Oceanfront 4 Bed Corner Unit (8th Floor) - by Luxury Beach Rentals has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More considerations:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
