How to find the best vacation property experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to select the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Legends Golf Resort - 2 Bedroom on ground floor, Wi-Fi included has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before booking your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
