How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to your budget:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Book your rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect vacation home:
- Choose dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Luxury House w\/Pool Near Beach - Pool Table has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
- Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
