Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and picking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Choose your dates and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Luxury Ocean Front 3 Bedroom, 18th Floor at Bayview Resort, Myrtle Beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is optimal for your trip.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
