Vacation rental booking tips:
Getting the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Selecting and booking the perfectrental:
- Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Designer Oceanfront Suite has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
