Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
How to pick the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by selecting trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Marriott Ocean Watch Oceanside 2 Bdrm 2 Bath Villa(May 11-May 16) 6 nights has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
More tips for your visit:
- Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
