Strategies for getting the perfect vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have discounts for local shops and restaurants.
Finding the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- To start, have your group commit to date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Myrtle Beach Resort RT2011 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
