Rental booking tips:
How to get the best rental value:
- The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Narrow your Search:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Pet Friendly l 3 Min Walk to Beach l 9 Palms has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is best for your vacation.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Considerations for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
