How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning and picking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select your dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Stunning Condo- minutes to the Beach! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your family.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Advice for your stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
