Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • To book the most suitable rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. New HIGH Floor, Pools, Gorgeous Studio at Palace! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Contact the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
