How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- To book the largest rental home within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your search:
- Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Pools,vistas,2 bedrooms, 2nd floor, Palace Resort! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you book your home. - Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home.
