Getting the best vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Planning, picking, and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. NEW! Palace Resort TRUE Oceanfront STUDIO Condo has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your group.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips to have a great stay:
- Put the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. message the host immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
