Rental home booking tips:

Get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for local tours and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. An Endless Summer Getaway has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Add the host's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
