Strategies to get the very best vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.
Selecting and booking a perfectrental:
- First and foremost, have your group select a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Nicely Updated Condo with Great Amenities Unit 4107 in the Five Seasons has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
