Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. OCEAN FRONT VIEWS Caravelle Resort 1138 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the host before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
