Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation home experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the most suitable rental within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Finding the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Ocean Lakes #1025. 4BD\/3BA w\/golf car &WIFI\nCopy of licenses is required has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
Advice for a great stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
