Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have deals for local tours and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean Lakes Site S33 - Unique Experience! Tiny House w\/ Loft & Sleeper! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
