Tips to get the best rental experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Start by having your group select date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. OCEAN VIEW - 7th Floor Landmark Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before booking your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation family.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
