Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Ocean View Giant Hot Tub & Pool (By Beach Star) has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

During your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
