Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best value:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- To find the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, picking, and booking the perfectvacation home:
- First, have your group commit to dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Oceanfront 3 Bedroom Condo w\/ Gorgeous View + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation family.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
