Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to a budget:
- Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours and attractions.
Selecting the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Recently Updated! Oceanfront Condo-Palace 1404 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or may be applied to your contract.
Know before you go:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
