How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • To book the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides have money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Selecting the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • First, have your group select date ranges and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanfront Studio Caravelle 422 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If not, reach out to the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your invoice.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
