Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Booking in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking the right Myrtle Beach rental:

- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Oceanview cozy couples oasis studio pools hot tub wifi walk to attractions! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your trip.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
