Strategies to get the very best vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To book the most suitable rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
