Tips and Tricks to get the very best rental home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for local shops and restaurants.
Filter your rental search:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. One Bedroom Ocean Front Condo, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 2555389 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Have a wonderful stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
