DRYWALL was installed in family room and master bedroom in July 2020 (paneling and title ceilgin was removed from these two rooms and replaced with drywall, refreshed photos coming soon). Two bedroom, one bath home in Ocean Lakes. One king bed in bedroom one, one full/double in bedroom two, plus a day bed and a pull out sleeper couch. Bring your own linens and food and you will never have to leave the community during your vacation. Stacked washer and dryer in enormous bathroom. House trained, well behaved and vaccinated family pets considered (some breeds are not allowed per Ocean Lakes, check the Ocean Lakes site).
No smoking inside the home. Site number 1805 on Lovestone, about 20-25 homes/rows back from the beach, less than 5 min. golf cart ride to the ocean (golf cart is NOT supplied, but you can rent a cart from Ocean Lakes). PARKING passes are NOT supplied, parking is $10 PER day PER car is paid to Ocean Lakes on day of check in, unless you arrange for Express or pre-paid parking 30 days in advance of your stay in writing with the OWNER's signature.

Located in Surfside Beach, this vacation home is near theme parks. Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Book your rental property in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

  • Begin by choosing your trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Pet friendly, W\/D, wi-fi and cable TV, 2 bedroom cottage (no cart included) has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If not, reach out to the host before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More tips for your visit:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
