Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- To find the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the perfect vacation home:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Quiet Beach Retreat with Golf Views! <2mi to Beach + Pool, WiFi & Early Check In has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your trip.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
