Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the most suitable rental within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Choose vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Rare 2 King 2BR @ Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is best for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
