Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. T1210 Myrtle Beach Resort: Relax in Coastal Comfort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your group.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Tips to have a great stay:
- Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
