About this Property

  • Sleeps 6
  • 2 Bedrooms
  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1000 square feet

Unwind on our deck, see the ocean, and hear the waves breaking. Our home is located in Oceanside Village (a private, family-aligned, gated community) in Surfside Beach between the Surfside and Garden City Piers. We have a roomy, covered and painted deck providing cool breezes with an ocean view where you can appreciate outdoor dining on the two tables with chairs. Inside we added wainscoting, window casements, new light fixtures, fresh paint, and some new plumbing fixtures. In 2014 we installed laminate floor throughout the home, and completely refreshed the king bedroom's private bathroom to include a shower/bathtub combination and new sink. The hall bathroom was completely refreshed in Dec 2021.

Two bedrooms (one king and one queen) accommodate four persons comfortably. The king bedroom has a private bathroom (refreshed in 2014), and separate entrance leading to a secluded deck. The closet and dresser offer ample storage. It also has a 40in flat screen TV with Roku for streaming. The second bedroom has a queen bed, huge dresser, and a 32in flat screen TV with Roku for streaming. Its walk-in closet has plenty of space with a stack washer and dryer, ironing board, and iron.

The kitchen features a refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, disposal, flat surface stove and oven, a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, and all cookware including dishes and silverware. The kitchen also has a sizable eat-in bar with three stools for casual dining and a separate dining room with an ocean view that seats six.

The cavernous living room has a adore seat, recliner, and a comfortable couch. There is a 55in flat screen TV with Roku for streaming, and complimentary WIFI internet connection for the home. There are ceiling fans throughout.

The concrete parking area below can accommodate 4 cars effortlessly. There is a private outdoor shower (cold only). Borrow a beach chair from the outdoor bin and have fun on the beach - which is less than a min.'s walk.

We appreciate family pets, but we have a strict NO FAMILY PETS policy for the entire property (inside, outside, decks, parking area, and planted/landscape areas). Smoking or vaping is NOT allowed anywhere on our property. A golf cart is NOT included with the home. During summer season, we ONLY rent Saturday through Saturday.

Upon arrival, visit the Oceanside Village Office if you would like access to oceanfront parking in the lot beside the Conch Cafe, golf cart rental, or use of the exercise center (separate costs apply for these features). OSV does not allow non-resident golf carts.
You can savor complementary use of the indoor (heated) and outdoor pools, a kids's water park with a lounge cooling area, lighted tennis courts, volleyball courts, a basketball court, a baseball field, bocce and horseshoe courts, a park/playground area, and many fishing lakes around the 180-acre property. Oceanside Village is a short drive north to Market Common, Myrtle Beach, and other area attractions or south to Murrell's Inlet and Pawley's Island for great seafood, nightlife, and specialty stores.

Area attractions include over 100 golf courses - Tupelo Bay is just across Hwy 17 from Oceanside Village. Miniature golf courses are close, too. Fish from one of the two close by piers (Surfside and Garden City), go off shore on a charter out of Murrell's Inlet, or surf fish with a SC fishing license. There are many more water activities to choose from including kayaking, parasailing, jet skiing, banana boating, and multiple different water tours.

Abundant shopping is available within a short drive at Inlet Square Mall, Market Common, Coastal Grandiose Mall, Barefoot Landing, or Broadway at the Beach.

Visit the official Myrtle Beach tourism website for great vacation information.

Tricks and tips for getting the perfect rental experience:

Find your best deal:

  • To find the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Renovated Bungalow less than 1 minute walk to the beach! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
