Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • To get the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Sands Beach Club 4th floor newly renovated Ocean\/Swash Front with amazing views has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you book the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your trip.
  • Does your family require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
