Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. NEW LOWER RATES 2 bed, 2 bath cottage, Shore Dr. area, 4 min walk to the beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your group.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
