Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- Choose vacation week and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Seawatch Oceanfront A+ Condo! July weeks available! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, email the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you love, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Additional considerations:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
