Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and choose the rightvacation home:
- Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Two 2BR/2BA Villas has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
