How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Get the best value:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your group select trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Sky-High Luxury 20th Floor: Oceanfront 2 Bedroom has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
