Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- To get the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and picking yourvacation home:
- Start by selecting your trip dates and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Spacious 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom stilted home in Ocean Lakes has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you love, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
