Tips and Tricks to get the very best rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Stunning Ocean Lakes Beach House- Arcade Games and More! 1076 has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your agreement.
During your stay:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are assessed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
