Tricks and tips to get the best vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Sunny 1BR condo, Myrtlewood has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If not, email the host before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
