Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. WOW-1BR WITH RARE PRIVATE OCEANFRONT BALCONY. SPECTACULAR VIEWS, PET FRIENDLY! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you crave, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
