Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- To get the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your search:
- Start by having your family select vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Upscale 2BR\/2BTH Condo in Myrtle Beach near Golf, Beach, Pool, Broadway at Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what is best for your vacation.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
