Strategies for getting the best rental home experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- To start, have your family commit to the best dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Stunning Oceanfront 1Br Suite With Pools! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
