Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- To find the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Pristine, Cozy Retreat in Ocean Lakes (Brand New!) has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Tips for your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
