Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Your BEST Beach Vacation EVER! has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is best for your vacation family.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. message the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
