Tips to get the perfect rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Book your rental home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Selecting the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- First and foremost, have your family select trip dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Oceanfront Studio,Indoor Pools,Hot Tubs,Brand New! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Upon check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
