Strategies to get the perfect rental experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Some property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Irresitable Oceanfront King Suite 8th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
