Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.
Selecting the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by selecting vacation dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. New Direct Oceanfront at Monterey Bay, Pools,Nice! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
Know before you go:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
