How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Pelicans Landing 118 3 bedroom with a 5 minute walk to the beach. \"Free Daily Ac has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
Tips for your stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
