Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Planning and choosing the best Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Seawatch Resort 616 - Oceanfront has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
