Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick your prefectvacation home:
- First, have your family choose a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. 3BR Luxury Vacation Home - Unbeatable Location and View has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If not, email or call the host before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Call the host immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
